Have you ever dreamed of eating your own home-grown vegetables, but you just don’t know where to begin? Visit the keyhole garden at the TecH2O Water Resources Learning Center to learn about a unique gardening technique that marries the concepts of gardening, composting and recycling. This garden uses recycled materials, less water and maintenance, and can even be handicap-accessible.
The TecH2O Center garden shows homeowners an inexpensive way to create urban green spaces while reducing solid waste in landfills. Keyhole gardens can be planted with fruits, vegetables, small trees and shrubs. The Center’s plants are irrigated with rainwater, which reduces water use.
