The Certified Water Partner program was developed in 2017 as a way to positively engage the business community and local government/non-profit institutions to raise awareness of water efficiency practices and reduce water consumption.
The program has two main objectives:
- Positive recognition for best practices: Those demonstrating best practices can earn the Certified Water Partner designation and positive publicity from El Paso Water. Partners also receive a seal that they can use on their website or in their own marketing materials.
- Incentives for water efficiency improvements: El Paso Water provides incentives, such as matching grants, fixtures or partnership agreements to help certain commercial and institutional customers to improve water efficiency.
