Report Illegal Dumping

Don't Trash EP!

Trash in waterways causes drains and channels to become blocked, resulting in flooding.

El Paso Water, the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department and the El Paso County Water Improvement District #1 (EPCWID #1) are joining forces to raise awareness of this huge problem and to remind citizens to be watchful, take a stand and report it.

To report illegal dumping, call 311 and have the location, license plate number and description of the person(s) dumping illegally.

A BIG Problem with BIG Consequences

  • Cleaning up illegal dumping wastes staff time and public money, and it also could discourage economic development.
  • Illegal dumping is against the law and is a class C misdemeanor. If you are caught you can face fines up to $4,000.
