Saturday's free event to include tours of Desalination Plant

EL PASO – Now in its 17th year, the annual Water Festival is a free event where children and adults of all ages can learn about the water cycle, water conservation, and about El Paso's environment and natural resources here in the Chihuahuan Desert.
This year, for the first time, visitors will have the opportunity to tour El Paso Water's Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination plant, the largest of its kind in the country. The plant helps to ensure that El Paso has a sustainable water future.
Through competitive games, experiments and interactive booths manned by water experts, attendees will enjoy a fun-filled Saturday equipped with knowledge and souvenirs as they explore and discover water. FREE registration and more information can be found at tech2o.org, or contact (915) 621-2000.
