EL PASO – Celebrate the most valuable resource in our region at the 2023 Water Festival on Saturday, August 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the TecH2O Center. Families are invited to join the fun at the free event.
Attractions include a rain-harvesting workshop at 11 a.m., music and dance entertainment, as well as a variety of water-related demonstrations and activities. Vendor booths will feature local organizations, including Texas Parks and Wildlife, Girl Scouts, Texas Master Gardeners, Chamizal National Memorial, Texas Master Naturalists and the Fire Department Water Rescue team. Food trucks will be located in front of the TecH2O Center.
“We want to incorporate a little bit of everything – arts and crafts, music, dance and fun facts about water and how to conserve – because every drop counts,” said Dawn Walker-Hughes, Senior Water Conservation Specialist.
Additionally, water festival attendees can get information about the Cash for Your Commode Rebate Program and pick up free water-saving showerheads and faucet aerators at the event.
