Free event offers to educate sound harvesting tips

EL PASO – The borderland is surrounded by desert, and while it's good to be conscientious about conserving water, doing so doesn't mean your home can't look ravishing. To help El Pasoans make the most out of the region's annual rainfall, EPWU is hosting a FREE event on rainwater harvesting.

The workshop will feature techniques and rain harvesting principles that can be adopted at home and help a garden thrive in the Chihuahua Desert.
"El Paso gets 8 to 10 inches of rain a year, this is a great way to learn about how to make the most of it," said Gaglio, who is also the managing member of High Desert Plants Inc. "Xeriscaping doesn't mean you can't have a beautiful desert garden at your home."
