Crews will improve stormwater infrastructure
EL PASO – Beginning the week of July 29, El Paso Water will begin Phase 2 of the Mesa Street Stormwater Main Replacement Project. Construction will take place on Mesa Street between Mills Avenue and Texas Avenue and is expected to be completed by fall 2024. The project will improve public safety by rehabilitating existing infrastructure that helps keep stormwater off the street.
The following road closures will be in place:
- Mesa Street from Main Street to Texas Avenue
- Mills Avenue from Oregon Street to Stanton Street
Pedestrian and business access will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Detour routes will be set up through Main Street, Texas Avenue, Stanton Street and Kansas Street. Please use caution when approaching the area and follow all posted traffic control signs.
