Montana Vista Phase II funding fairs

More than 800 residents to receive first-time wastewater service

EL PASO
El Paso Water will host a series of funding fairs for the Montana Vista Wastewater Project Phase II, which will bring first-time wastewater services to more than 800 homes in the community. EPWater staff will be available to answer questions and help residents fill out forms.

The project requires residents to decommission septic tanks, connect homes to the EPWater wastewater system and pay the associated costs. Financial assistance is available through funding from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) for residents who qualify. Residents will be notified at a later date if they qualify for assistance.

Last year, TWDB approved more than $28 million to EPWater in financial assistance, consisting of $8 million in a low interest loan and $20 million in grant funding from the Economically Distressed Areas Program (EDAP). The funding will go towards the construction of the wastewater collection system. Phase I was completed in 2020 and connected more than 800 households to wastewater services.

Montana Vista residents who received a letter from EPWater about the wastewater project are encouraged to attend the funding fair on one of the following dates:
